Vac Manual

About Vac Manual

Who this is for

Vac Manual is for people who own a cordless stick vacuum, a plug-in Shark upright or a Roomba and would rather fix a lost-suction or won't-charge problem themselves than send the machine away or buy a new one. Each model guide lists the genuine part numbers, the tools, and the steps in order.

Not affiliated with any brand

Vac Manual is not made by, sponsored by or affiliated with Dyson, SharkNinja, iRobot or any retailer. We use brand and model names only to tell you which machine a guide fits. We don't use their logos or product photos, and the line drawings on this site are our own simplified sketches. Nothing here is an official manual; each guide links to the manufacturer's own manual and support pages so you can check it against the source.

We don't sell parts and there are no paid placements on the site.

What we cover, and what we won't

We cover jobs the manufacturers treat as owner maintenance: filters, blockages, brush bars, wheels and rollers, and swapping a complete battery pack that comes out with a release button or a few screws.

We don't cover opening a battery pack, replacing or rewrapping cells, chargers, circuit boards, motors or internal wiring, or motor and cord repairs on plug-in vacuums. Lithium-ion cells store enough energy to start a fire when they're damaged or badly assembled, and mains wiring can kill. Those repairs belong with the manufacturer or a qualified repair shop.

When we mention a replacement battery, we mean a genuine pack from the vacuum's maker or a pack certified to a recognized safety standard. Cheap no-name packs have been linked to fires.

Corrections and model requests

If a step or part number doesn't match your machine, email hello@vacmanual.com with the model and the label code and we'll check it against the manufacturer's documents. Model requests go to the same address.
